Our Network

Doctors for Nepal works closely with other organisations:

  • Nepali medical and nursing colleges that are offering training for community medicine in remote areas – Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS)
  • Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) delivering health programmes in rural Nepal that have specialised expertise and a deep understanding of local networks and issues - PHASE Worldwide
PATAN ACADEMY OF HEALTH SCIENCES is a public not-for-profit tertiary academic institution dedicated to improving Nepal’s rural health by training health workers for rural Nepal. The goal of PAHS is that its graduates will not only provide severely needed medical care in rural Nepal, but will also eventually become leaders in health care policy, dedicated to improving the health of the remote and destitute populations in Nepal. DFN aims to provide at least one full medical scholarship each year to PAHS for a needy student from a rural area.

DFN has also recently added nursing scholarships with the help of PHASE WORLDWIDE - a charity working in Nepal to empower isolated communities through health, education and livelihood opportunities.

The DALAI LA BOUTIQUE HOTEL in Kathmandu has welcomed DFN over the past two years, and kindly hosted the Nepalese premiere of our documentary "Namaste, a Himalayan Journey".
